In today’s society it’s becoming ever more important to always look your best and this can be either on a night out, business meeting or just popping to the shops for a bottle of milk.
It’s all psychological, since our cave man days humans have used looks to determine lots of different things.  Back then we would use looks to determine, who was the stronger, who was going to be a good mother and who would be a good hunter or gatherer etc. In today’s society we still judge people based on looks however, our judgements have advanced somewhat and we now judge people on not only looks but also body language and the way people present themselves in general. One of the main things we look at however, is hairstyle.
It is widely accepted that the way we have our hair says a lot about us; your hair style could even tell you about the type of music you listen to. Research has shown that we react far better in most situations to people with a full head of healthy looking hair than we do to people with shaved, bald or receding hair. This is due to a variety of different factors; we still have cave man instincts wired inside us. So, looking at somebody with healthy hair may indicate to us that they have time to look after they hair, which in turn means they must be able to afford a good hairdresser, which in turn means their wealthy, which means they are in a higher class. This is an example of exactly how our unconscious mid works. Whether these things are true or not, our mind leads us to believe this so we automatically feel better around those with a full head of hair compared to people who don’t have as much.
This is why when it comes to single women using hair extensions is a great way to entice the opposite sex. Men as a breed still have a lot of cave man instincts hardwired into them. For instance a man sees a woman with long wavy locks, his conscious mind will register the colour and style. The unconscious mind, on the other hand, will see healthy long hair, which indicates a good partner to breed with; hence the reason that if you ask a man the most attractive female traits they’ll say long hair.
